                                                About Me

My name is Carol & I'm the mother of two great girls and have been married to an awesome guy named Mark, for almost 34 years.  We live in a small town in the mountains of Idaho where we enjoy the outdoors and the wildlife.  I am a lover of all animals--especially cats.  I graduated from Boise State University in 2009 with a B.S. in Health Promotion & minor in Addiction Studies and I'm very proud of that!  I became a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor in 2013 and I love working with Addicts as my profession! GO BRONCOS!!!!

I'm an avid runner and triathlete and three years ago got into obstacle course races--They are super fun! I do lots of races and enjoy the marathon distance the most.  I'm a two time Ironman and enjoy the mental and physical challenge of endurance events.  I'm always training for some race...somewhere and constantly setting new goals to achieve in the race world and also in other areas of my life.

One of my favorite things to do next to running/triathlon is sewing and creating cool things.  I make a lot of my own cycling clothes as I love to have something different, unique and ORIGINAL than what's out there.  I've been a seamstress since I was 18 years old, sewing my own clothing, my kids' clothing, working for Jantzen swimwear, Michael's of Oregon, Bag Maker, and I've done alterations for years.  I had sewn some cool things out of my race numbers previously and I love bags & purses so I got the idea of designing my own custom race number/t-shirt tote bag  a few years back (no one had anything like it) and everyone who saw it--wanted one--so that's how I got started making them--I finally got serious and created & launched my website and started selling them, as a hobby. On my bag, I used 0ver 30 race numbers and 28 t-shirts and it's fun to show them all off ('specially my Boston 2000 t-shirt patch on the outside of it).

I just love my bag...it's the one in the picture at the top of the web pages.  I use it for everything!  I carry it around when I go to race expos and put all my purchases in it as I shop and people always stop me & ask where they can get one!  I'm thrilled to be able to make them one of their own.  These bags are a great conversation starter in a crowd of runners, duathletes and triathletes (or any other athlete who has sports memorabilia) because inevitably someone will see a race number or t-shirt from an event that they did as well and comment on it.  It's a fun bag to carry around and I feel proud of what I've accomplished in the race world.  No matter what type of sport you do...I can create a bag for you! This is a great way to recycle...making a custom race bag...a tyvek recycled bag. It's a super strong material and will last a good long time!

You don't usually wear your medals around for more than a day or two after a race and most of those t-shirts and race numbers or ribbons you get from races are laying around in a drawer somewhere--where no one can see them--so dig them out and turn them into something awesome that you can actually USE and show the world what you've accomplished in your favorite sport at the same time :)
